anawangin morning sky

The sunrise from Anawangin beach in Zambales. Don't you love the morning sky?

another rainbow in the sky

This is another rainbow in the sky shot. Taken from the ferry from-and-to to Puerto Galera.

when the earth touches the sky

Another image from my archive. Picture taken from Camiguin last year.

This part was taken alongside the road of Caminguin. It's so amazing how we see the sky and the sea horizon touching each other...as if there's continuity.

I've got several more of sky/clouds in my archive that I want to share with you. Hope it's ok to share more of the same theme....

Welcome to the second week of the Hand Painted Sky.

sky wings

It's my first time to ride an airplane (CebuPacific) from Manila to Cagayan de Oro.

I just love the view from the window seat!

How I wish I could sling my arms from the wings of an airplane to feel the exhiliration! Shooosh!

high above the sky

Again this picture's taken from Camiguin.

I admit that this is one of my all-time favorite picture of the scenery from the place. I just love the tall coconut trees along the road. As if it's touching the sky high above.

filtered sun in the camiguin sky

While in Camiguin, I've tried to take several shots of the scenic views. Here's one of the shots I really like. I titled it filtered sun... because the shot was filtered using my sunglasses. A tip I've learned from countless websites I've read online.

Hope it made a difference. Will post the unfiltered one soon!

sunken cemetery in camiguin

This picture was taken when we went to Sunken Cemetery in Camiguin last July of 2007. As you can see from this view, the wideness of the sunken cemetery's very visible. Just compare how blue the sea water from the shade of lighter blue surrounding the cross.

Nature did this hundreds of years ago. It still scares me though...

I love how the paleness of the sky gave depth to the blueness of the sea. It would have been bad if the sky's so blue.

at the end of the rainbow

From R U T H A Y . N E T

They say that at the end of the rainbow, there's a pot of gold.

Full of money. Full of wealth.

But did you know that at the end of THIS rainbow, lies the polluted river and homes where people can never call it their own.

Sighs. I just hope that one of the kids who swims in this river will soon find that pot of gold and make a difference.

Picture was taken at the back of our office building in Eastwood City, during one sunny day. Posting this picture while listening to River Flows in You by Yiruma (played in the movie Twilight, kinda make me feel like crying).

Theme of the Week: Hand Painted Sky

I'm a lover of sky. A lover of clouds.

Why not make it as our theme for the week or weeks maybe?

People say that you can form things with the clouds. Horses, dogs, teddy bears, hands, heart, people kissing... Somehow I believe that clouds gives us what we want to see. Show me...

Different Faces of Ruthay

Sometimes I want to see myself photographed by famous photographers and see how they will show the world through their eyes.

Now, see how I see myself, in a collage shot by me.

Feel Like Cryin'

I was a never a cry baby.

Never.

But as I grow older, things have been different. I'm more tuned with my self's inner actor.

Or I've experienced things I wish I haven't.

the ruthay dot net diary

This is me, impersonating Bridget Jones, while holding her diary. The Bridget Jones Diary.

I love reading funny and witty books and this book is one of them. And there's always a part where it felt like I was reading my own diary.

horror poster me

I like watching horror and suspense thriller type of movie. Even though I'm not that good when it comes to suspense, I still love to watch it and then scream til my throat hurts.

So what can you say about the recent horror movies we have? How about my poster? Do you think it will do justice for me latest horror flick titled, "Eat me.Bite me. but never leave me." Ha3.

with best friend at work

I took this shot while I was at the office, pretending to work while all that time I was taking massive pictures of myself for this week theme (self portrait) and at the same time my best friend, Malen was on the background working.

I just like how half of my face was covered and I still look cute! Hahaha! Love yourself!

Peace!

According to Sandra Bullock from the movie Miss Congeniality..."I really want...World Peace!" Well, you're not alone gurl...me too! I want world peace!

This week, I'll be posting some of my memorable if not best self portrait shots. I think it's time for you to know me again.

Hi it's me... Ruthay...

Mallows

I love to drink coffee in the morning, in the afternoon and even in the evening. That's why I'm thankful that my co-worker gave it a little something to make it special.

I know that in your own way, you can add a little something to make anything a little bit special.

Red Rose

This red rose is the first ever rose that he gave me. He told me that he did not buy this from the flower shop and that he nurtured this flower all by himself. It gave more meaning to me...

Happy Anniversary Howe! I bab yah!

I tried to draw a face, but I wanted it in a unconventional way. See the numbered parts? That's how I draw it.

(in order)
1. Right Eye
2. Nose
3. Lips
4. Right Cheek
5. Jaw
6. Left Cheek
7. Left Eye

So please forgive me if it's not symmetric at all... :)

welcoming trees

I just love UP Diliman. Taken while we're waiting for my brother, Prince's graduation ceremony. She caught me taking picture of her...well, not actually her but the trees and for me the trees are providing an entrance to a fortress.
So nice.... :)

Friend/Blogger Check: AYAMAYA

This is my friend Aila, but we fondly call her, "Pam-pam", as it is her favorite expression. Can use the word "Pam-pam" as an alternative for any word, just make sure that you'll have the right tone and attitude to get the message through. Right, Pam?

Check out her site!
